Make space and grow a dream
I remember in the run up to Christmas when the girls were small we would go through their toys and take out the ones that were broken or they had outgrown in order to make space for the inevitable sparkling collection of new toys they would receive on Christmas Day. I was frequently appalled by the number of things that were practically unused since they received them the previous Christmas. When all your children are very close in age and you have twins as well there does tend to be quite a bit of duplication.
Continuing on the theme of reflection from yesterday, before you give a home to your new dreams, goals and aspirations for the future you need to make space for them. Like the children sorting through their toys, or in much the same way you can’t put a beautiful new dress is a wardrobe that is so stuffed you can hardly shut the door, you need to make space inside you for your new dreams.
What can you let go of this year? What habits or routines are holding you back? What limiting beliefs are stopping you from taking the action that will take you forward? Do you have any unhelpful or even toxic relationships? Give yourself a good clear out. Sweep away the cobwebs and dust yourself down. You might be surprised what a shining gem you find hidden under all that muck.
